                              The Bell County Hollercrawlers

We are an off-road club open to ATVs, dirt bikes, side x sides, and Jeeps/trucks. As a club our missions are:

  • To help jump-start a struggling economy by increasing our county's tourism revenue. We plan on giving free access and free guided tours of our 9,000 acre park at Mountain Drive for people wanting to visit our area as well as giving off-park tours.
  •  To bring the community together. Bell County has an extremely large number of people who enjoy trail sports of all kinds, and we as a club feel we can improve the dynamic of our community by giving these people something to unite behind.
  • To promote safe, responsible ATV riding. Our club is developing multiple ways to educate young riders on the importance of ATV, dirt bike, side x side, and Jeep/Truck safety.
  • To help keep our mountains clean and beautiful. We plan on doing multiple trash pick-up rides through the year to help keep our mountains clean and help improve the image of ATVing and other off-road sports.
  • To help support other local organizations and local businesses. Our club wants to be involved in postively impacting our community in any way we can. We will choose other local projects that we will are important to improving our county and participate in them in any way we can.

We are located in Bell County KY, which is located on the Kentucky/Tennessee/Virginia state line, in the shadow of the famous Cumberland Gap, where Daniel Boone opened the Gateway to the west via the Wilderness Road. Also home to Middlesboro, KY, the town built inside a meteor crater.

We are deep rooted in Appalachian tradition and southern highland culture.  Corn bread and coal mines.  Log cabins and over-alls. Front porch conversations and deals sealed with a hand shake. And of course, a  down-home, come-on-in-and-grab-a-plate attitude. No matter who you are or where you are from, the people of the mountains of southeast Kentucky will treat you like next of kin.
We in Bell County are blessed with breath-taking mountain views and some of the best trail riding the world has to offer. The coal and lumber industries have left us with trails of all kinds and of all difficulties. From level gravel roads with spectacular views that are great for beginning riders to rutted out, rocky log roads that would make even the most experienced riders get chicken skin (that's goose-bumps in mountain talk)...Bell County has both and everything in between. Mud, dirt, gravel, rocky creek beds...whatever you want in a trail riding experience, we got it.

Great mountain views. Great trail riding. And great people. We invite you to come on down to the mountains and experience it first-hand. We know that once you do, you'll be back for more.

The Harlan County Ridge Runners ATV Club is based in coal fields of Southeastern Kentucky in the town of Evarts, Kentucky named the "BIRTH PLACE OF ADVENTURE TOURISM". Our Club is over 700 members strong, and our creed is to tread lightly, keep the forest free from liter and to preserve the environment.

Recently the Harlan Co. Fiscal Court leased over 8,000 acres of reclaimed coal land to create an Off Road Adventure Park. With another 72,000 acres of off park trails to ride with easy, moderate, and extreme trails, and the HCRR staff to help see that your visit is a memorable one, with a FREE guide service. There is no better place to go to ride your ATV.

These roads at one time made money for our county and now can do the same as a tourism park. The new Off Road Park is open to ATV's, UTV's, Dirt Bikes, Trucks/Jeeps, and future expansion for horseback riding and hiking.

Our biggest asset is our people here in the mountains. They are very friendly and as an ATV Club we welcome our out of town guests to enjoy our part of the ATV World. Our town is ATV friendly, you may ride your toy thru the streets of Evarts only, go slow, obey all laws, wear a helmet and you will have no problem accessing gas, food, supplies, bank ,and lodging.

Some of our visiting riders have ridden all over the Untied States and have posted here that our trails and scenery are second to none. Vist our event link and pick out one or more events or rides to come visit with us. Please Drive safetly.

The NWTF is a grassroots, nonprofit organization with more than 500,000 members in 50 states, Canada, Mexico and 14 other foreign countries. It supports scientific wildlife management on public, private and corporate lands as well as wild turkey hunting as a traditional North American sport.

In 1973, the National Wild Turkey Federation was founded in Fredericksburg, Va. At that time, there were an estimated 1.3 million wild turkeys and 1.5 million turkey hunters. Shortly after its founding, the NWTF moved to Edgefield, S.C., where it is headquartered today.

Thanks to the work of federal, state and provincial wildlife agencies and the NWTF's many volunteers and partners, there are now more than 7 million wild turkeys and nearly 3 million turkey hunters. Turkey hunting has become the fastest growing form of hunting and has the second-highest number of participants of any type of hunting.

Since 1985, more than $279 million NWTF and cooperator dollars have been spent on upholding hunting traditions and conserving more than 13.9 million acres of wildlife habitat. Hunters have also benefited as the NWTF has worked tirelessly to support our hunting heritage and protect and promote laws that increase hunting opportunity and safety.
